MUST READ - Group Buy Forum Now Available - Rules & Regulations.

Hi all,

We've added a new forum for members and site sponsors alike to create and participate in group buys.

Please note that ALL group buys initiated by NORMAL MEMBERS will be moderated (meaning your posts won't appear immediately after you hit the submit button) prior to public postings. This is to prevent any form of fraudulent vendors trying to make a quick buck off members.

Rules & Regulations

• All group buys / group buy requests must be open in the forum. NO GROUP BUYS BY EMAIL OR PM.
• Any member found solicitating in other people's threads will have his posts removed and account priviledges taken away.
• Don't thread hijack, start your own thread if you wish to create a group buy.
• No off topic posts. They will be removed without warning.
• Prepare to have the administrators request for your details through PM to ascertain and confirm your identity.

** REPLICA ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ALL TIMES.

**WARNING! Previous incidents have occured in other forums where a rouge vendor created a new group buy, collected all the money from all buyers and dissappeared without a trace.

For Group Buy initiators:

• Clear and detailed information on the product.
• Do your homework - Have you already confirmed a % savings from the vendor whom you're buying from?
• Provide links / images.
• State MSRP prices / freight / savings
• Have a idea on how many units/qty of the product you want to purchase
• Have a clear and defined closing date (should not stretch beyond 2 weeks)
• Have a estimated shipment /delivery period.
• Start a list and be prepared to maintain it (i.e. tidy up if neccessary)
• Update your thread with a FAQ if you have plenty of questions.
• Indicate modes of payment ( Internet banking / Cash on delivery / others)

Tips for participants:

• Ask questions in the thread if you're not sure about certain details.
• Do your own homework on the product, don't just rely completely on the posters' information. Use google to research on what you are buying.
• Be fully informed on the details of product, payment and delivery times. (see above)
• Check back regularly on group buys you're participating in (hint: Subscribe to the thread / bookmark the URL).
• Do you have the contact details (email / phone / name) of the initiator?
• DO NOT participate in group buys via email or via PM, there's very little we can do if things go south.

*** IMPORTANT - To protect the owners and administrators of the forum and website, please note we are NOT responsible in any way for the products that you receive from group buys (i.e. product faults, misrepresentations, delays).

We do checks on incoming and new group buys as the best of our abilities on our end, however there is NO guarantee that every group buy will go smoothly.

We hope this forum will serve the members better in a safe manner of transactions, and help us save more money along the way.
