Newbie Any recommandations on exhaust for saab 93 >1999/2003(not sure which)?

Hey peeps, im a himbo when it comes to cars accessories, i hope to get some guidiance from experts around here. I'm looking for an exhaust for my saab 93 >1999/2003(don't know which) to improve the performance and sound wise, i heard people talking about removing cats, muffler etc. Can someone explain to me? How should I know which exhaust fits my car? I was thinking of remus since everyone is talking about it but how much does the exhaust cost plus installing it? i hope to get some advice thanks.

Your Saab is turbocharged so only very specific headers designed for your car can fit. As for removing your cats and changing the rear muffler, you might gain about 7bhp...

A quick google revealed no obvious performance exhaust for your car except custom made ones. Closest thing I came across was the Mahnaflow custom made exhhaust...

That's strange... you should be able to get answers to your question... there are quite a number of "non-stock" saabs over there.

Otherwise, try SaabCentral - a US-based forum.

Define "fully mod". And what year is your 93? Is it the current 93SS (end '02 onwards) or the previous model? The newer models have certain limitations in terms of mods.

Check out Saab tuners such as Maptun, Nordic, Hirsch, SpeedParts, AbbottRacing, etc. for mods like ECU tuning, exhausts, turbo upgrades, intercoolers, BBK, blah blah blah.

Re: Any recommandations on exhaust for saab 93 >1999/2003(not sure which)?

should i change my exhaust in singapore or any recommandations in jb? should i buy my exhaust from some wholesalers then bring it to the workshop to ask them to fix for me or should i order it straight from the workshop? anyway hackzi i dont really know the year of my car i only know behind my boot wrote saab 93. lol. what i meant by fully mod is as in, i want to change whatever possible to change for my car to make it look/sound nicer and ill be starting with the exhaust. mm the things you said sure made me confused..mine is the older model i can definately say..the squarish looking one :S actually chickenbackside, i would like increase in performance but ill piorise on the sound of the exhaust first, i don't like the sound my exhaust is producing now :X and may i know instead of importing the custom made exhaust from other countries, is there any workshops that deal with these? sorry for the numerous question, forgive me as a new driver, theres alot for me to learn and ask ;>

P.S where is BVO? :S

The factor that will change the note of your exhaust the most is your rear muffler.

Maybe you can pop down to the usual exhaust shops and enquire and look through their catalogues. I doubt they will have ready stock for Saabs and you'll need to order in.

Alternatively, you could "operate" on your muffler (take out the packing inside and weld straight pipes through it) and weld new tips. That would improve the sound and looks at the same time without spending much money.

Look under the resource folder at the top of this page. You can find workshop details there.

Like I said, look at Saab aftermarket tuners like Nordic and Maptun... I believe they have everything you need as well as some go-fast bits for your ride.

By the way, please note that most of the abovementioned mods for Saabs are non-LTA friendly. If you want to stay legal, go with Hirsch.
