[8/10/06] Drift Session at Gelang Patah

Hi all,

I'm going to be heading up to Gelang Patah over the weekend on Sun for a little drift session. The track there is not very big and is suitable for practicing drift.

There is also a skid pan available for practicing simple drift moves like donuts and figure-of-8.

The track fee is only RM70 for non-members of JB DriftClub and is open to all RWD drive cars. Spectators can enter for free to view. Plenty of parking space just outside the track.

For those who need an intro into drifting, I will be there myself to teach some basics. Just thought to ask everyone who is interested along as well.

Come visit the playground that I go to.

It's open from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. That's more than enough time for you to burn rubber there.

For who don't know how to get there, please meet me at before 3:00pm at the first Petronas station after the Tuas Checkpoint. I will wait until 3:15pm and then set off for the track which is about 5min drive from that Petronas only.

Noted that I have quite a few friends driving BMW in Singapore and that the car is also well balanced for drifting.

I know that there is a BMW Driving Course out there, but I'm not sure if they show you all much about drift at all.

So if anyone is keen to burn some rubber, let me know and I will try to arrange my time around such mini-drift-meetups.

I'm not as pro as those who have been doing it for a long time, but I guess I can pass on some pointers that I've learned from my sensei from down under.
