Re: Engine Oil For E36,318

haha you're opening a can of worms there..

It really boils down to what you want out of the engine, some fare better in longevity, some not so, but offers better response, the list goes on...

Anyway, most workshops will just change with mobil gold, which isn't too bad if your car's just a daily driver..

In any case, I'm using Royal Purple, and no I'm not pushing it, but if you've heard of it or want to try, I've got spares at home.
I'll let it go bout 11/L.

Re: Engine Oil For E36,318

Hello All,

Thanks for all your valuable advise on the engine oil. I'm actually looking for something that is smooth on the engine and to improve my FC. FC had been bad in recent times. Dun know it is because is it due to the engine oil that I'm using or the auto transmission is giving me the problem.

Jason3s,

The royal purple you are using, does it improve your FC?

No diff btw Mobil and RP in terms of FC.
Though I'd say I'm not a very gd gauge due to my driving habits.

Only difference(butt feel) is tt RP's a lil smoother up the revs...
