Information on 318i Valvetronic

Hi guys, hope this is not a dumb question.

I just purchased a 2nd hand 318i valvetronic. as the previously owner did not pass down the manual, i was wondering if there is any other way i can get hold of the information regarding this car. (apart from buying a copy from PML).

I am particularly interested in the following information :

1) Car specifications (power, dimensions, suspensions etc...)
2) Recommended tire sizes
3) Servicing information (type of engine oil viscocity to use)
4) Minimal petrol grade recommended
5) Functions in the cockpit, indicators description

Are there any sites there has these info? Thanks.

Hi bmw4life,

You can perhaps request for a copy of the 3 series catalog the next time you head down to PML. Similarly, you can download a PDF version of the catalog here for the 3 series (Specifications):

http://www.bmw.com/generic/com/en/pr...dan/index.html
(Click on Catalog)

The information provided is not as detailed as you'd receive in the manual. Perhaps the charges are minimal for a new copy?

Regards,
Alvin.

i think you should simply photocopy someone's manual for the relevant information you need.
