5 speed to 6 speed
anyone know the cost of upgrading steptronic 5 speed to 6 speed? is E90 using the 6 speed steptronic? can it fit into E46?

Anything is possible. It depends on how much money you wanna spend...
It's no direct swap for sure. Software, hardware all different... The cost of the custom software and hardware to make the gearbox fit into an E46 will probably be twice the price of the gearbox itself...

Just go for Pfitzner or Hollinger Dogbox. You won't go wrong.

Pfitzner Performance Gearbox
Can't find the site on Hollinger. You wouldn't be interested in both of these gearboxes. They compromise comfort for performance and is able to handle high hp application. They use Straight Cut compared to the conventional Helical cut on the teeth and it makes a whining sound that my cause irritable bowel syndrome.

Yup, Toto is right. Dun be siao la. And worst of all, why would you want to spend so many thousands of dollars on something that does nothing to your car?
Steptronic to another Steptronic?? No increase in performance nor comfort. MAybe a slim mini little bit..thats it. unless...its a merc stepronic..ah HA!! Quote:
