Pictures cruising around in a rare classic last weekend..

hey guys,

went up north to visit some friends. low and behold, one of their dads had a beautiful, pristine z1 in his garage. left hand drive and with only 6000km on the clock.

couldn't resist when he passed me the keys..

will upload a video of the cool doors soon. anyway, you can watch a video of clarkson with it here -->

cheers,
saify.

Incredible Re: cruising around in a rare classic last weekend..

That is indeed RARE with a capital "R". I remember when these things were launched - early 90's - lotsa buzz in all the major auto press. Extremely surprised to see one pop up in Malaysia!

Would be great to have one of these + 840Ci + E36 M3 - dream garage...

Re: cruising around in a rare classic last weekend..

hey mock,

yeah, it was kinda tight. haha.. seats had really limited adjustability too. and driving with the doors down was a different experience altogether. feels like some sorta kart instead of a roadster.

also, i read somewhere that the level of safety isn't compromised with the doors down.. cool eh?

cheers,
saify.
