BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class.

Hi BMW.SG

My old man is currently undecided about the 7 Series and S-Class to replace his total loss car and it seems like its has fallen to me to be his 'purchaser'...
Would like to hear comments/experiences good or bad you all have about the cars?
Also I was told all 420 7 Series for the IMF in September has been sold? Can anyone verify this? If it is so I would be quite concerned as for the past week I been back in Singapore, I see a 7 Series everyday almost every where I go...with 420++ more @@ dunno what to say...

How good is aftersales service from C&C(We have been going to our mechanic outside for his last Merc)? PML enough said I guess...heh...

How good is the S-Class's infrared Night View system compared to the 7's Thermal Imaging system...?

Whatever it is....Just which one will you choose?

Thanks all for your time

Re: BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class.

Most towkays (older ones) in Singapore will go for S class.. I guess this is a traditional status thingy. Pay a visit to Sungei Kadut where all the timber towkays are... knn everywhere u see is S class.. sometimes i wonder cut tree so easy to earn $$ meh?

Driven my friend's S class.... interior is too "ah peh" for me. I still prefer 7. Handling of both cars on normal street driving, I see no difference... both are heavy, stable and smooth cruisers... (unless u want to compare technical spec to spec).

Will your family consider a Quattroporte? It stands out.

nice car but we do drive up north quite often, so might be a little too outstanding...also Auto Bavaria and C&C Malaysia will provide quite abit of support in emergencies.

I was behind a Quattroporte at a car wash few weeks back...didn't wow me also leh...heh...

Re: BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class.

True. The wet market near my place hor, got 2 s-class leh....one driven by the owner of a flower shop selling artificial and real flowers. Another driven by one guy who sells yiu-char-guay and butterfly bun and harm-chim-pang. if they dont walk to their cars, one would think the nearby kangoos and pickups are their cars. Not trying to stereotype S class owners, I know some high executives do drive them, it is as good a car as 7-er, but am just sharing with you Live examples I see less than 1 km away from my home.
Most of the time, the 7-ers I see are parked at country clubs, restaurants, etc. if u point a revolver at any part of my body, I will take the BMW 7 series over the S class.

I think if we supply harm chim pang to C&C for their showroom as snacks for customers, they might give a discount for the s class.
