Warranty Clarification

Hi all,

Just got my car back from PML for soem minor repairs. Was talking to one of the CSAs about the 3 year warranty. Supposedly, the first 2 years are covered by BMW and most problems you detect can be resolved fairly easily under the warranty.
However, when the ownership of the car enters the 3rd year, that's when the PML warranty kicks in. It's what my CSA called an "insurance" warranty. Only component failures will be covered in the warranty. Lets say any rattles or creaks will not be entertained under the warranty.
Can anyone verify if this information is true?
I also didn't get the work order for what was done with my car. I remember in Canada everytime I brought my car in I received a detailed explaination of the work that was done an whether the issue was resolved. However, my CSA said that it's not practised in Singapore. Any idea why this might be? Otherwise how would we know what was done and if the problem has been verified?

What he said is correct.

BMW warranty is only 2 years and the 3rd year from PML.

Things like drive train, engine etc etc is not covered in the 3rd year warranty, or should i say, a limited warranty base on case to case basis..

For instant, for a high milage ppl, they will not get their gearbox replaced if they have clocked 100k mileage but car is still not 3 years...

The 3rd year warranty is for things like ur power window, etc etc..
