Touch and Go update
"Taken from http://touchngo.com.my/"
Deadline For Touch 'n Go Security Update in Malaysia has been extended Malaysians who have not updated their Touch 'n Go card security feature can still do so before Jan 15, 2006. Bring your Touch 'n Go card to our counter to receive free update service. This is to change the security key embedded in the card to the latest key version so that your electronic money will be better protected. All non-updated cards will not be functional after the new deadline. Please call our Careline at 03-7628 5115 for more details Singapore Touch 'n Go holders are required to update their card security feature from now until Dec 31, 2005. Failing which, the card will not be able to use at all Touch 'n Go point-of-usage, including highways, public transport and parking. If the users have not performed the security update after Dec 31, they can proceed to any POS counters at highways in Malaysia or RSSB headquarters in Kuala Lumpur to request for a refund of the remaining credit value in the old card and purchase a new card. Please note that the refund will be made to users via bank draft within a month if users decided to surrender the card. In addition, RSSB would like to call upon all Touch 'n Go users to register their cards via the company website at www.touchngo.com.my. The details submitted will enable RSSB to verify card ownership and refund the card balance if the card is lost or stolen. Registered users will also receive free e-statement, which is an itemised on-line Touch 'n Go transaction statement, for users to monitor card usage. I believe you can do so at certain MayBank ATMs. More info can be found at http://info.maybank2u.com.sg/banking...rvices/tng.htm |

Sorry, I have not gotten mine done too and am looking for answers to my questions too. Seems like heading into Msia to update your card is the only solution now. The list of update counters are located in my first post.

As Tsentsan mentioned, you can top-up your card at the Singapore ATMs of Maybank. Each top-up, if I remember correctly, is S$2.50 flat. So I tend to top up as much as I can to avoid paying such fees too often.

Re: Touch and Go update
Just a quick update.
For those who have top-up their TnG card after August 2005, apparently it has been revalidated and your card is ok. However, for those who want to revalidate their cards within these last 2 days, you can simply go to the lane for TnG with the signboard "Lorong Tambah Nilai" and request for the validation. Operation hours are 0730 to 1930 daily. Cheers!!

Hopefully not, as per my first post: If the users have not performed the security update after Dec 31, they can proceed to any POS counters at highways in Malaysia or RSSB headquarters in Kuala Lumpur to request for a refund of the remaining credit value in the old card and purchase a new card. Please note that the refund will be made to users via bank draft within a month if users decided to surrender the card. I have yet to validated mine too!! hahaha... went into Msia twice planning to do it, but somehow things dun work according to plan. will update this if I ever get down to doing it... haha
