Thumbs down PML will not honour the 3 Year Servicing Package!

hi guys, just to share my experience with all...

mom took 1 year old car to pml for 1st servicing session...CSA told her no servicing will be done as the car only 4000km done, thus havent reached servicing mileage yet. (think must hit 20000km?)

has anyone experienced similar issue?? hope to hear from you...many thanks!

Re: PML will not honour the 3 Year Servicing Package!

think pml will go by the mileage yardstick for this although i think it shud also be time based as well. this principle applies to their warranty as well.

but given that they have created an almost watertight form which all of us have to sign, u may have no choice but to send your car to somewhere else to do its servicing.

sorri to hear that they have once again been inflexible ...

Re: PML will not honour the 3 Year Servicing Package!

all my CSAs and sales people have told me to service when my indicator says so, or after 1 year, whichever comes first.

who's your CSA? name and shame............

if u have to pay, then is indicator or time which ever comes first.

if they are the one paying, the later the better.

Kurqa: your mom drives so rarely shouldn't have gotten the package. Unless is free.

Re: PML will not honour the 3 Year Servicing Package!

I think the main problem here is that your MOM brought the car down, ans as usual, they will hootwing such owners with all sorts of unreasonable reasons. Go down with her or better yourself and see what they say.

I did that to Kah motors with the Honda. Now the CSA's faces truns white and eyes pop out when he sees me at the workshop, then tries to do a siam routine........

It is very common for car to be serviced when it hits the mileage or when it is 1 year old. PML is pulling a fast one on your mum,

Re: PML will not honour the 3 Year Servicing Package!

the package came free with the promo period...but seriously i would think even if the car has clocked a low mileage, they should service it yearly...like what you guys have said, whichever comes first..thanks everyone for your advice i will go down soon...but dont want to have to bang table...though it seems they respond better that way!

Hi Bro, that is so refine of you!
I must learn from you, as I have been one of the culprits of banging table and being unreasonable some times.
Must become a better person...

Now, based on what i understand, the service package works on what they called it "condition based service".
The computer will check the condition of the various components, and flashes you with reminder to send your car in to service, for example, the brake pads, or oil service, or so on...

Looking at it, if that is the case, i suppose they would not do any servicing if the computer does not say so. Unless you wanna pay for it.

Somehow, I tend to agree if you are looking at it from business point of view. Who would want to pay for your oil service when it is not due yet?

my 2 cents worth.

Re: PML will not honour the 3 Year Servicing Package!

Does that mean that if i do not have the free servicing package and i hardly drive it so i dont have to do any servicing regardless of the time frame as long as the trip computer does not advise me to? If i had a warranty claim during the 2nd year of ownership, will PML say oh u didnt follow the 1 year or 20k kms rule of thumb so we wont honour your warranty?

Re: PML will not honour the 3 Year Servicing Package!

i suppose they will say that in this case!!! ahahaha...but seriously, i do know they hook up to the comp and if it says not necessary then they wont..but think about those rich people with many low mileage cars...say <5000km/year...when will they ever get it serviced...4 years later..? really i cannot comprehend the servicing package because this might mean my mom's car will not be serviced at all within the 1st 3 years...
