BMW cans 2 & 4 Series
01/09/2004 10:46

BMW has scrapped plans for introducing the 2 and 4 Series model ranges.

Rumours had it earlier that the coupé and cabriolet versions of the next 3 Series would have been badged 4 Series.

It was also expected that the 1 Series coupé and cabriolet would have been marketed as 2 Series models.

However, now the company has announced that it decided against the introduction of the 2 Series and 4 Series badging.

The coupé and cabriolet versions will rather be part of the 1 and 3 Series line-up.

M3 it will be. No M4.

Hooray!!! The M3 should always remain the M3. Anything else would be defiling the legacy...
