This photo shows a 2011 BMW M3 GT testing in bare carbon fiber that could be the same vehicle to be used for the American Le Mans Series. BMW Team Rahal Letterman Racing Team will be racing this vehicle in the prestigious Le Mans, with the help of BMW Team Schnitzer who competes for the European series.

Tommy Milner will no longer be racing for BMW RLR. He will be replaced by Dirk Werner and Bill Auberlen. Both these drivers are well-acquainted with each other the M3 as they have already shared the E92 M3 GT at both the 12 Hours of Sebring and the Petit Le Mans in 2010.
