The world premiere of the MINI Countryman WRC was held yesterday at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. This vehicle is launched in line with MINI's return to WRC. Development of this vehicle in partnership with Prodrive, started back in 2009. The finished product is powered by a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder Di turbo-charged engine. The power transmission uses an Xtrac 6-speed, sequential gearbox. The MINI Countryman chassis has been fitted with a roll cage developed by Prodrive for strict safety assurance for rally stages.
