Photos: BMW 1 M Coupe's Dinner Unveiling

BMW Car Club of America’s summer bash at Road America seemed to bring out the best from BMW. It started with a race win in ALMS and ended with a strip tease from the BMW 1 M Coupe. These photos were taken at BMW CCA’s dinner party. For the first time, the beautiful underbody, exhaust, and forged aluminum suspension components are shown.

M Boss Dr Kay Segler says: “This paint will make history.” The BMW 1 M Coupe will surely be remembered for its unique, stylish appeal and cannot be mistaken with a 135i.

Why does it occur to me that 135i has bigger 6 pot brakes? 135i faster?

Bloody waste of time. What's the point of showing teasers? Increase sales? The only people who will find teasers interesting are die-hard fans and BMW have them in pocket already anyway. Think they can tempt new buyers showing a headlamp, a wheel and an intake? Pffft. Piss people off more likely. Just a bunch of marketing boffins justifying existence.
