BMW M6 ends Production, while a New Engine is launched

The production life cycle of the BMW M6 just ended, following the BMW M5 E60/E61 model. But sources say that BMW is currently working on a BMW M6 successor. No official details have been announced though.

But when a door closes, a window opens. BMW announced the introduction of a new engine that will replace the V10 engine of 5.0-liters, capable of 507 horsepower: the V8 4.4-liter Twin Power Turbo engine.

To some, the launch of the V8 4.4-liter Twin Power Turbo engine might come across as odd because of the downgrade. However, this V8 engine is capable of 555 horsepower, almost 50 more than the old V10 engine that it will be replacing. This new engine is now available on X5 and X6 M Sport versions.
