How to check E90 engine temperature?

Sorry for this really dumb question.

    There are no Temp dials.

How does one check the engine temperature of the E90 320i?

There's a way to enable the temp to show on the instrument cluster but requires alot of effort poking around the stalk by that time the engine is probably warm.

Even then the temp shows coolant temp. It does not show oil temp which is more important to determine if an engine is really warm.

Red face Re: How to check E90 engine temperature?

I am curious on this topic too.
If can see water temp rising, at least can stop immediately to prevent more damage to the ride. No gauge how ah ?? Any gurus can help ?
