Need help regarding BMW 135i Coupe

Hi Guys


Need help on some questions regarding the 135i.

I am gonna trade in my 320i for a 135i Coupe or Cab

1. Anyone know of any known problems for the 135i?


Gonna buy from a PI - Price seems to be about $45k cheaper than PML
Honestly i don't see a good reason to buy from PML. Changing of parts like brake disc/tyres etc i will do it outside anyway?

2. Any good PI to recommend?

3. Whats the cons of buying from PI?
PI told me if need to repair...since parts not common..might take a month?????
But since 135i is not so common in SG, PML might take 1-2weeks anyway??

4. PI told me Cab is not available...but i do see it online/youtube. SG not allowed to have or something??

5. I see some post about iDrive / Radio problems from PI who bring in the car from Japan. Mine will be from Germany. Will it have the same problem?

Maybe it is not common. U could check with site sponsors.

For idrive (especially SAT NAV), u might still face problem unless PI load it with Sg map. For Radio function, BMW has regional setting builit into the unit. For unit from Germany could be as follows:
Made for UK: Speedo has both MPH/KMH;
Made for German mkt: Speedo has KMH. I think this is quite rare.

Need help on some questions regarding the 135i.

I am gonna trade in my 320i for a 135i Coupe or Cab personally, cab is too heavy and coupe with minimal options except must have sunroof is ideal for me.

1. Anyone know of any known problems for the 135i? BIG PROBLEM is driver tend to drive way too fast! 4th gear @ 2900rpm you are travelling 100km/hr! if you intend to buy auto (sorry this car HAS NO DCT option) its fairly easy to drive. if its a manual, then, be aware of the reverse and 1st gear as they are spaced to close that if you have not driven a getrag 6-sp before, you may put it into reverse instead of forward and then, BANG! there's no reverse lock-out or even any feel at all if you put it in reverse except only when you release clutch slightly you will then know if you are reversing or going forward. PM me your details and i will tell you what happened before i even got my car. PML was really good at making things up to me and i will most definitely buy another new car from them.

There are a number of minor complains about the 'vert, mainly on the weight and lack of rigidity. Can check out the threads here:

There's a third possibility beside PML/PI. Get a low mileage staff car. Knocks about $40k off list. One just popped out a couple of days ago.

Just make sure your car is under warrantly. And the PI's workshop is reliable. You can go check out value marques they offer quite a good price and you can go BOSS motorsport to service your car.
