Are manual cars so unpopular in Singapore that you bring in tippys almost exclusively?

yeah, all thos traffic lights and intersections, who wants to constantly change gears? I'm too old for that. Plus i think a lot only get auto license?

BMWs manuals arent fantastic either. They all have a clutch delay valve that is a bitch to take out and it delays your transmission to protect your clutch. Of course, if you do remove it, its alot better than the tips. But like what Phil said, its a btich to keep changing gears in SIngapore. A car like a Lotus designed for track if not manual, the guy who buys it ought to be shot. That car simply rocks in manual. For BMW, i think their auto is as good as it gets with the new ZF 100ms auto gearbox.

That only means more heel and toe. Ain't that neat? And if you're the extreme type, can do the useless double declutch which ain't necessary but sure gives you bragging rights!

Don't think manuals are for SPEED OF SHIFTING. They're for `more involved driving' and `better fuel economy' now. Since DSG and torque converter lock autos came out, manuals are SLOW. BUT they're sure FUN and gives you a lot to do while you may get bored with the autos.
