Vintage Rolex Submariner 16613 Half gold (18kt)

Very Rare, Vintage R-Series Year 1987.R-Series is the first batch 16613 with Alphahet Serial no. 'R'= Rolex.First batch with Sapphire crystal.-Very nice Serial no: R8888XX.300M/1000FT Water Resistance.

Very special, rare and orignal dial. Thick gold plated hourly indicator. Gold plated ROLEX CROWN BADGE LOGO below 12hrs! Rolex only produced this Dial design 16613 for about 6mths and very limited in quantity. Later Rolex changed to the modern 16613 dial as what you see today.

As it is Vintage, the watch condition is 95% mint, like very much like new. Just send it to Rolex ctr for overhaul and the watch is like new. But I didn't change the dial as the dial is very rare. -New model 16613 at retail cost about $11K. This watch is basically priceless as no more in production.-Watch comes with Box, card holder, booklets and anchor. Watch was recently inspected by Rolex ctr. This watch keeps execellent timing with no problems in power reserve .

This watch I'm asking for $8,500. You may find the price steep but pleae do consider the value of this watch which is increasingly rare. It is "nipple dial" is gold plated hourly indicators and gold rolex badged. Therefore this price/ is low for a collector's value and its future price.

I m also letting go of some of my collection of daytona, such as the daytona white face which is extremely rare in Asia.

Yes, I do have some special interests in watches and especially in rolexes. The thing about rolex/ vintage/limited editions is that they do retain their value very well as compared to other watches. Some other things which I collect include montblanc pens (limited edition) and bmw minatures. The thing about these things is they do not depreciate like cars. Imho, If I have a car, 10 years down the road, I'm left with a piece of paper

Currently, I'm looking at the 16610LV green submariner, I will get it straight as soon as I find out that rolex will discontinue its production

Hi. Very sorry. I met up with a private collector today and he has reserved all of my daytonas with a pretty high price so I think I will be letting go to him. So the daytonas are no longer for sale. He has also advised me against selling the red sea dweller as the prices are picking up quick. For this the red sea dweller, I'm asking for SGD$38k. I will pay for the fees for verification at rolex ctr.

currently for sale is my 16613 vintage sub. Any takers? If not, I will continue to wear it

I'm waiting for the gmt master ceramic bezel to be released. This should depress the prices for the 16610LV green sub. Kinda felt bad for those whom has purchased the green sub thinking that it was a "limited edition". Its just a clever marketing ploy by rolex.

exactly my thoughts... alot of ppl thought that the green sub will be limited

looks like the "ploy" worked....

heard that there will be be a bigger sub too, so again, its a slap on the face to existing owners....

bad bad bad....

but then again, the new ones will cost an arm and a leg so what you have for sale is not going to be affected...

back to topic, nice collection you have there
