The beautiful, high-flying, butterfly fancy doors of the BMW i8 will not continue on to production according to BMW Blog.  Insteadm they will be replaced with more conventional ones surfaced in aluminum, or another composite material. Some BMW enthusiasts can be a bit disappointed about this change, especially because the BMW i8 looked stunning with those doors. However, the BMW i8 remains to be one of the most exciting BMW’s in history, and a mark of a significant change in the German brand’s future.
